Tunnel Dweller (1986)   Additional Information Thomas' friends Mark and Selene Harju invited him to participate in their presentation based on the TV show "Beauty and the Beast" -- the presentation was titled "Vinnie and the Tunnel Dwellers" and imagined the cast of the show as a rock band. Thomas put together this wonderfully versatile outfit that we privately call "Sewer Dweller." This is one of the most-borrowed costumes in Thomas' wardrobe -- the robe is excellent for anything from medieval re-enactment to Renaissance festivals to survivor in a post-holocaust future. The most difficult part of this costume was giving the pseudo-suede shoulder pieces an approptiate "worn and dirty" look. What finally did the trick was instant coffee -- ground directly into the fabric and then wetted.
