Star Trek: The Next Generation Starfleet Uniform (1987)   Additional Information Over the years, Thomas has made more Starfleet uniforms than he cares to remember. This is his first from Star Trek: The Next Generation. It was completed in time for Rovacon 12, a week after the series premiere. In order to create his original pattern, Thomas made a jumpsuit of unbleached muslin. Then, wearing it before a mirror, he drew the appropriate designs on the jumpsuit. He then took the jumpsuit apart and (somehow) turned the pieces into a pattern.
