Overview:
Rifoucc is a medium-range Gathered World, riding in the midst of the Core. It is fairly typical, serving as a way-station for the Gergathan's fleets. It circles closely a large K-type star, and is rather more chilly than Earth. Rifoucc is largely a water world, with only two major land masses, neither as large as Australia.

The world never developed its own land life after seeding by Pylistroph Seed Vessels -- but over the ages a land ecology has developed from cast-offs from Gathered Worlds vessels, a land ecology based mostly on algaes, fungi, and insectoid creatures in vast profusion.

The native population is about 90% aquatic and 10% land-dwelling. Bothe populations are, in typical Gathered Worlds fashion, kept under control by the dark, repressive, hierarchical religion of Gergathan-worship.

Rifoucc is a favored refueling stop for Delger's couriers between Messilinia and Maerdik.
