Meerkat Meade's Hamsters live in Frankenstein's Castle, an ambitious structure of hamster houses and tubes that extends into three rooms and across two floors at Meerkat Meade. Through the wonders of technology, you can take a pictorial Tour of Frankenstein's Castle, or read about Our Hamsters.

Frankenstein's Castle

This is merely one part of Frankenstein's Castle, as it was in 11,998 H.E. The Castle is constantly in a state of flux, as more modules are added and existing ones are reconfigured.

Currently, the Castle consists of 12 distinct modules, 4 water bottles, 3 wheels, and at least 64 tubes of various lengths. The Castle extends through three rooms and across two floors here at Meerkat Meade, and it penetrates one wall. The extreme vertical dimension is in excess of twelve feet, and we estimate the extreme horizontal distance at about twenty feet.

In short, Frankenstein's Castle is the sort of hamster paradise that all children dream of, and that only the most demented adults would ever actually construct.

You can take a tour of the Castle starting here.
